Principal's Message

 

Welcome to Crestview and the 2025-2026  school year!  We are a California Distinguished, and a California Pivotal Practice School. I am delighted to welcome our new and returning families to the new school year!

Crestview is truly the “jewel of the neighborhood”. It is a prestigious TK-5 elementary school known for its academic excellence, strong parent support, and dedicated staff.  We support our students through the following mission statement: “To collaborate continuously to develop best practices to focus on growth and learning for ALL students regardless of their background.” We follow a rigorous academic program while at the same time making sure we advocate for students and promote kindness.

While we take pride in everything we do here, we are especially proud of our CATS program.  CATS stands for Creative Arts Technology Science. It is designed to introduce students to the academic knowledge and technical skills needed to pursue a full range of career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, performing arts, and visual arts. ALL students participate in a variety of highly engaging modules which include Science Exploration, Culinary & Culture, Technology & Engineering, Visual Arts, Video Production, Japanese Language, and more.  

At Crestview, we are all committed to providing strong academic instruction comprising the California Content standards in all subject areas.  We also work together as staff and students to support our school-wide expectations for success.

The Crestview teachers, staff, and I are looking forward to an amazing year ahead working with all of you and your children.  We will do everything in our power to make this a great year for everyone and we thank you for your support.
